Wealdstone are delighted to announce that Jaydn Mundle-Smith has signed to play another year at Grosvenor Vale.

The defender played all but two League games last season and was a crucial part of the defence in what was a tough fought campaign for the team as a whole. A stellar campaign for our no.23 saw him named player of the season, and we are delighted to announce that he'll be part of Matt Taylor's squad for the 2024/25 season.

Deployed mainly as a left-sided centre-back, but occasionally as a traditional full-back, Jaydn's performances earned him high praise from many and even a call up to the England C provisional squad at the end of last season.

"I'm delighted to get the deal over the line, there was a lot of speculation but i'm delighted to get it done," said Mundle-Smith.

"I had a great year last year, I hit the ground running and managed to stay consistent. I'm really pleased with my achievements last season."

"I've spoken to him [Matt Taylor] and he thinks I'm a good player and good person as well so I'm looking forward to working under him. There's a lot of new faces in the squad so it'll be good to see everyone working under Matt Taylor because he knows what he wants to do for the club."
