A BUSY DAY FOR WEALDSTONE IN THE COMMUNITY AHEAD OF FA CUP FIXTURE

Amidst all the preparation from the club and ITV at Grosvenor Vale, ahead of our FA Cup fixture against Wycombe Wanderers, the club continued their valuable work off the pitch.

The Wealdstone foundation continued their fantastic work in the community again this afternoon, hosting a schools tournament at Rectory Park, Ealing, just 10 minutes from Grosvenor Vale.

The day was thoroughly enjoyed by all the pupils that took part, with local schools taking part in a competitive tournament. Every team faced each other with two schools facing off in a final as the top two teams.

“It was a great afternoon with some lovely football on show from all the players involved and it was a tournament played as school tournaments should,” said Stones Director Danny Kindell.

“Many Congratulations to the winners West Lodge School who now progress to the next round’’

‘’Also a big thank you to all the pupils, teachers & volunteers who helped make the tournament a resounding success’’

In the morning, the Vale clubhouse was visited by local MP Danny Beales, who put on a collaborative digital skills training session with Google for our local community.

“It’s not a natural marriage bringing Google here to Wealdstone but for me it made total sense, a fan owned and fan run club so to have Google here talking about entrepreneurship and small businesses is a perfect fit,” said Danny Beales.

“Everyone I’ve spoken to is really excited about where the club has got to in the FA Cup and there’s such a buzz about the place!”

“From my position as the local MP I’m keen to support the club to get the changes they need and the ground they need.”

“Anything I can do as a friend or a supporter of the club I am very keen to do.”
