Barker joins on loan from Charlton

Wealdstone have signed 18-year old Charlton Athletic defender Charlie Barker on a one-month youth loan subject to all necessary league and FA approvals.

The young defender has made eleven appearances for the Addicks first team so far, scoring once in a Carabao Cup win over Swindon Town.

He made his debut aged 17 last September in an EFL Trophy win over AFC Wimbledon and also has three league appearances in EFL League One to his name, with his performances earning him his first professional contract in October last year.

He has featured just once for Charlton this season and is the son of Rotherham United assistant manager Richie Barker.

Charlie goes straight into the Stones squad to face King's Lynn Town tomorrow and we welcome him to Wealdstone!
