CHRISTIAN SCOTT SIGNS FROM PORTUGALS TOP DIVISION



Wealdstone are delighted to announce the signing of 19-year-old Christian Scott, who joins on a permanent deal, having trialed with the Stones during pre-season.


The midfielder has featured in all but two of the Stones warm up games, impressing enough to seal a permanent deal at Grosvenor Vale. A technical player, Scott has shown he is not shy with the ball at his feet, looking to play forward at every opportunity, and has the ability to match.


Scott was born in London despite both his of parents being South African, but has played the majority of his footballing career in Portugal.


Starting with Portimonese S.C. of the Primera Liga, Portugal's top division, Scott made 17 appearances for the U19 team, before making the switch across the south coast of Portugal, joining Farense in the summer of 2023.


The midfielder was a key component of the Farense U19's 2023/24 campaign, scoring three goals in 29 appearances for the Leoes De Faro, now of the Primera Liga.





"Christian is an exciting young midfielder with a bright future in the game ahead of him," said Matt Taylor.


"We are confident that his game will develop with us and I'm sure the supporters will be eager to see him in action this season."


Able to play in midfield or as part of the forward line, Scott will be a useful asset to Matt Taylor coming into the start of the season. The technician sported the number 12 throughout his time at the club in pre-season but will take the number 18 shirt for the 2024/25 season.
