Club Statement: Ashley Charles

Wealdstone Football Club can confirm it is aware of the not-guilty verdict from Snaresbrook Crown Court in the case involving player Ashley Charles.

The club can also confirm it only became aware of the incident on Monday evening via the national media and immediately made the player unavailable for selection.

The club will now sit down and discuss the matter with Ashley and look to support his integration back into the playing squad in due course.

We recognise that this has been an incredibly difficult time for everyone involved in the case.

The club will be making no further comment at this time.
