Darren Linden joins Executive Board
Wealdstone FC are delighted to announce the addition of Darren Linden to the club's Executive Board.
Darren is a lifelong Stones fan, attending his first game at Lower Mead in 1982 aged nine.
Away from football, he has been leading large scale digital transformation for over 20 years and is currently a director and board member at Tecknuovo, one of the fastest growing technology consulting firms in the UK. Prior to this he held senior leadership roles at AOL, T-Mobile and O2 and was previously a director at Sky TV and Barclays.
In 2018, he was shortlisted for Transformation Leader of the Year at the UK Tech Leaders Awards and spent a few years as CTO and a board member at change consultancy Sullivan & Stanley, who won Small Business of the Year in 2019.
He founded Hertfordshire grass roots club Bushey & Oxhey FC where he was Chairman for 10 years, winning Hertfordshire FA Charter Standard Club of the Year in 2014.
On joining the club's board Darren said: "As a lifelong supporter of the club, it's an honour to be able to help shape its future off the pitch.
"Particularly following in the footsteps of other fans that I have known for so many years such as Paul Rumens, Nick Dugard, Layne Patterson, Howard Krais, Nick Symmons and Dom Whyley who all have made such a massive contribution via the boardroom."
Chairman Rory Fitzgerald had this to say on Darren's arrival: "We're incredibly fortunate and happy to have someone of Darren's calibre come onto the board.
"He will bring a wealth of experience and expertise to the club and knows it inside-out having been a lifelong Stones supporter.
"Myself and the board are looking forward to working with him and welcome him to the club."
