Dyer signs new deal
Wealdstone midfielder Alex Dyer has signed a new one-year deal with the club. The midfielder had recently returned from international duty in the Caribbean with Montserrat after becoming their joint-record appearance holder.
He joined the Stones for a second spell last summer after joining from Kuwaiti club Al Tadhamon, becoming a mainstay in the Stones midfield last season, making 38 appearances and scoring three times.
On signing his new deal Dyer had to say: "I'm looking forward to another season. I'm really happy to be staying and can't wait for the season to get going now."
Dyer had a three-year stint with the Stones in the Isthmian League between 2010 and 2013, joining from Northampton Town and making over 100 appearances before moving to Welling United in the National League.
A five-year spell in Scandinavia followed, playing in the top divisions in Sweden and Norway for Ostersunds, Elfsborg and Lillestrom before a short spell in Kuwait last year.
