Experienced forward Duku joins the club
Stones have boosted their attacking options ahead of Saturday's FA Trophy Quarter-Final with the signing of experienced forward Manny Duku, who joins following his departure from Maidstone United.
Duku will be well-known to fans having played and scored against the Stones last season for York City in the National League. He has spent this season playing in Gibraltar for Manchester 62 and was most recently at the other Stones in Kent.
He played in Maidstone's historic 4th Round FA Cup win away at Ipswich Town and also played in the last round where their club record run eventually came to an end as they were knocked out of the competition by Coventry City.
Born in Amsterdam, the 31-year old forward began his career in Dutch non-league before moving to England in 2015, playing for a host of non-league clubs before a prolific spell of 39 goals in 50 games for Hayes & Yeading United earned him a move to the EFL with Cheltenham Town.
A move to Torquay United and then to Scotland with Raith Rovers and Inverness Caledonian Thistle followed before moving back across the border to Havant & Waterlooville, he then joined York where he spent all of last season.
Known for his physicality, power, pace and standing at 6 foot 2 inches tall, Duku is available for selection for tomorrow's FA Trophy Quarter-Final against Solihull Moors and he'll wear the number 9 shirt.
