Family vibe at The Vale as Wealdstone Tickets for Schools initiative launches

This weekend is an exciting one at The Vale as we launch the Wealdstone Tickets for Schools initiative! This program will see us give away hundreds of tickets for the Stones' National League home matches for the remainder of the season (with exemption of the Barnet fixture due to forecasted attendance). Each week a new school will be selected and the tickets will be distributed.

Kicking off this awesome initiative is our neighbours from Sacred Heart Catholic Primary School in Ruislip, with up to 200 parents and children in attendance to watch Wealdstone take on London and play-off rivals Dagenham & Redbridge at 3PM.

Not only will we have new faces in the stands, but we are also excited to welcome our 22 mascots on Saturday, made up of 11 children from our U6 Soccer School and 11 from Wealdstone youth U10 Purple!

Club Engagement and Community Director Darren Linden shares his thoughts on our new initiative. "Community work delivered by football clubs is without a doubt one of the key ways to help address important societal issues by building healthier, active and strong communities.

"Building on the brilliant work being done by our community trust (the Wealdstone FC Foundation), we have an intentional focus on developing relationships with the broader community, to introduce Wealdstone to more and more people who may not know who the club is, and have never experienced a Stones game before. We're bringing the local community together with the Stones as the focal point.

"Developing these connections and relationships is important as we want to ensure we are a meaningful and valuable member of the local community, beyond a match day. We already run assemblies focused on the importance of health and mental well-being, football coaching in schools, a catch-up Maths programme and other initiatives. By bringing a wider section of the local community to Stones matches, we can also help develop a much greater community spirit across Hillingdon and Harrow."

The Stones are also excited to announce that we are partnering with Hillingdon Council to offer Ukrainian families staying within the borough the opportunity to watch Wealdstone games for the remainder of the season at no cost. Over the coming weeks and months, we will develop a football coaching and fun session for Ukrainian children who have been displaced by war in their country.

Shortly, we will also be announcing a promotional offer for servicing Royal Air Force personnel at RAF Northolt in addition to NHS staff.

Stay tuned for further updates!
