FORMER WEALDSTONE PLAYER OF THE YEAR JOINS ON LOAN

We are delighted to welcome back Sam Howes on a loan deal from Leyton Orient!

The keeper re-joins the Stones for a fourth time, having left the Vale for the O's in 2023, following his 'Player's player' and 'Junior Stones' player of the year winning season at the club.

The 26-year-old played every minute of every game for the Stones during the 2022-23 season, earning himself a call up to the England C team.

"Buzzing to have joined," Said Sam Howes. "When I heard the news after Archie's (Matthews) injury, I wanted to get the deal done quickly."

"It's a club I know well, I'm looking forward to getting going. They (Wealdstone) already know what I'm about."

It (2022/23 season) was a good one for me personally. We flirted with the play-offs and had a really good year as a team. Hopefully I can bring what I finished off with that year!"
