Goalkeeper Jed Ward has joined the club on a season-long loan from Bristol Rovers, as the 2023/24 National League opener draws closer.
Ward joins the Stones having spent last season on loan at Hungerford Town in the National League South, where he clocked up 27 appearances before being recalled by Rovers and impressing Manager Joey Barton against Port Vale in his one appearance at the back end of their League One campaign.
Standing at 6 foot 2, the highly rated 20-year old keeper has five more first team appearances to his name at Rovers and has also spent time out on loan at Swindon Supermarine and Prescot Cables.
Jed will be in the squad to face Wycombe Wanderers this evening.
