LOAN SIGNING | Lo-Everton returns to Stones
Derby County midfielder Sonny Blu Lo-Everton has returned to Wealdstone on a loan deal until the end of the season.
The 20-year old attacking midfielder originally joined the Stones on loan from Watford at the back end of the 2020/21 season, scoring the Stones goal of the season that year with a fantastic solo effort on his debut against Hartlepool United.
A player the club have monitored since his first spell, Stones chairman Rory Fitzgerald was happy the club could finally lure the Scottish talent back to Grosvenor Vale.
"We're delighted that we could get Sonny back here as he's a player we've been after for a while. He showed everyone just how good he was in his last spell here, cementing his place in our side straight away aged 18 and scoring some fantastic goals against Hartlepool and Woking.
"He's just the sort of player we wanted to add to Stuart's group as we approach the back end of the season and do his part to help us finish as high up the table as possible."
Since his last time here the midfielder spent all of last season on loan in the National League at Yeovil Town where he made 44 appearances scoring five times and winning the Somerset Premier Cup.
He then made the move from Watford to Derby in the summer where he's been a regular starter in their U21 side.
Sonny will wear the number 16 shirt again and goes straight into Stuart Maynard's side to face FC Halifax Town tomorrow evening.
