Max Kretzschmar signs new deal

Wealdstone FC are delighted to announce that influential midfielder Max Kretzschmar has signed a new one-year contract, securing his place at the club ahead of the 2024/25 season.

Kretzschmar, who joined Wealdstone in the summer of 2022, has been a crucial part of the squad over the past two seasons, making 68 National League appearances and scoring 14 National League goals. His impressive performances in the 23/24 season saw him finish as joint top goalscorer for The Stones, netting 10 goals across all competitions.

"I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at the club so far," said Kretzschmar. "The support from the fans and the camaraderie within the team have been fantastic. I'm really looking forward to a new era under our new manager and believe we can achieve great things together."

Wealdstone Chairman Rory Fitzgerald was delighted to get the deal done for the former Woking playmaker. "Max has been an outstanding player for us since he joined," said Fitzgerald. "His commitment, skill, and leadership on the pitch have made a significant impact. We are thrilled to have him continue with us as we aim for success in the upcoming season."
