PHASE 2 DRAINAGE WORK COMMENCES
After extensive pitch drainage works this summer, Phase 2 of the improvement scheme commenced at Grosvenor Vale this morning.
This crucial stage of the project will see the installation of a new drainage chamber, along with upgraded pipework and a state-of-the-art water pump dedicated to removing water from the pitch more efficiently. The new system is designed to pump water away from the playing surface at a rate of 6 litres per second, or 21 cubic metres per hour, significantly enhancing our ability to maintain the pitch in top condition.
The work is expected to take three days and will be fully completed before our upcoming home fixture against Yeovil Town on Saturday. These works were made possible thanks to a generous donation from one of our supporters, to whom we are very grateful.
