PLAYER NEWS | Mascoll joins the Stones

Wealdstone have signed 24-year old former Bolton Wanderers left winger Jamie Mascoll. He will go straight into the squad to face Barnet on Saturday at Grosvenor Vale.

Mascoll began his career with his local side Dulwich Hamlet, making his debut aged just 17. He spent time out on loan at Phoenix Sports, Cray Wanderers and Grays Athletic before his performances earned him a move to the EFL with Charlton Athletic.

He made six appearances for the Addicks, scoring once and returned to Dulwich Hamlet on loan at the end of the 2018/19 season, playing against the Stones in a 3-1 win for the South London side in April that season.

Following his release from Charlton he joined Wycombe Wanderers in League One, earning promotion to the Championship and then Bolton Wanderers in League Two, earning promotion to League One.

Mascoll spent the latter half of last season and this summer on loan at League of Ireland Premier Division side Waterford.

Stones boss Stuart Maynard had this to say on his newest signing: "It's good to get the deal done for Jamie. He can play anywhere down the left and will bring us good balance.

"He brings to us Football League experience and will bring greater competition for places in the squad."

We welcome Jamie to the Stones!
