THE CONTEXT

Wealdstone and Oldham Athletic clash for the first ever time on Tuesday evening with the recently relegated club enjoying an unbeaten start to life in non-league so far. Every club in the National League has dropped points in the first two games this season, meaning a win for either side will propel them further up the table at this early stage.

WHAT WAS SAID?

Sam Howes: "The good thing is we've got another game within a couple of days so we can obviously put it right against Oldham away. Everyone's looking forward to and we'll go there and give a good account of ourselves."

TEAM NEWS

Olufela Olomola picked up a knock in Saturday's defeat to Eastleigh and is a doubt for Tuesday night's trip to Greater Manchester. Alex Dyer returns from a suspension picked up at the back end of last season and Sam Habergham returned from a knock in pre-season to make his debut from the bench last weekend.

ONE TO WATCH

Summer signing Liam Hogan joined the Latics from National League champions Stockport County, with the defender having a real pedigree in this league having won promotion last season with Stockport and also with Salford City, and winning promotions with five of the seven clubs he has represented.
