It is with regret that I must inform you that I will be taking a leave of absence from my position as Chairman with immediate effect due to an ongoing health condition that requires all my attention.
In my absence, the club’s Vice Chairman, Dominic Whyley, will assume the temporary role of Chairman, and together with Neil, Lee, and the playing staff, I am confident that the club is well positioned to start to move up the table.
This football club is a massive part of my life and while I can’t be part of its day-to-day activities for the foreseeable future, I will remain in contact with people in the club and closely follow our results and performances as a fan. I wish everyone involved with the club the very best for the rest of the season and I look forward to seeing you all at The Vale as soon as I am able.
Rory Fitzgerald
We all know how much Rory brings to the club from his direct involvement on a day-to-day basis through to his fantastic leadership. Everyone involved will pull together to ensure the club keeps moving forwards for when Rory returns. On behalf of the Board and everyone connected with the club, we wish Rory all the best as he deals with his health concerns. I would ask that we respect Rory’s request for privacy during this difficult period.
