Stones add another academy prospect to squad in Phillips

Academy midfielder Declan Phillips is the latest player to sign up on first team terms, and has been given squad number 28.

Stones fans would've seen Phillips feature in pre-season with positive performances against EFL clubs MK Dons, Wycombe Wanderers and AFC Wimbledon.

A tenacious midfielder able to play anywhere across midfield. Hes equally as comfortable in and out of possession, he’s aggressive in the tackle and also comfortable with the ball at his feet.

He's the latest academy player to sign first team terms following in the footsteps of striker Jaiden Bartolo who signed on last month. Again giving testament to the work Cameron Mawer, Kenny Mutsanya and Dale Welch have done not just with these two players but all 130 players in our academy system.
