Stones hosting Hillingdon HAF Easter football camp

We are delighted to announce that following the enormous success of the Holiday Activities Food football camps the club ran in 2023, the London Borough of Hillington have selected Wealdstone FC as an official partner to provide an Easter 2024 holiday football camp.

The HAF programme provides children with enriching activities and healthy food over holiday periods and Wealdstone FC will be opening the gates to Grosvenor Vale for four days at Easter from Tuesday 2nd April to Friday 5th April.

The football camp will be free for children who receive benefits related free school meals and either live or are educated in the borough of Hillingdon. The football camp is also open to children who do need receive the free school meals benefit aged 4 to 16 for a small fee.

About The Holidays Activities Food programme

The HAF programme seeks to provide children in receipt of free school meals with free holiday provision, including healthy food and enriching activities. Research has shown that the school holidays can be pressure points for some families.

For some children that can lead to a holiday experience gap, with children from low-income households being: less likely to access organised out-of-school activities, more likely to experience ‘unhealthy holidays’ in terms of nutrition and physical health, and more likely to experience social isolation.
