Stones sign Eleftheriou
Wealdstone are happy to announce the signing of former Watford and Dagenham & Redbridge full-back Andrew Eleftheriou.
Eleftheriou is a product of Watford's Academy system where he played with Stones team-mates Dennon Lewis and Connor Stevens and made one appearance for the Hornets in the Premier League against Manchester City at Vicarage Road.
He spent time out on loan in Norway at Sandefjord and also at Braintree Town in the National League, where he made 18 appearances before moving to National League rivals Dagenham & Redbridge when his Watford contract expired in 2019.
He played for two seasons at the Daggers where he made a total of 42 appearances, scoring once before his contract expired this week.
Stones boss Stuart Maynard had this to say on his newest signing: "It's a pleasure to have Andrew commit to the club. Although he is only 23, this will be his fourth season in the National League, so he's exactly the type of player this club needs going forward.
"He's a high energy, athletic full-back who we feel can improve even further. He had interest from other National League clubs and believes in the project we put forward to him.
"Obviously this is a great signing for the football club and we're very happy to add Andrew to the early business we've done so far."
