Stones swoop in for Brooklyn

Stuart Maynard has added Brooklyn Ilunga to his Wealdstone side.

The 19-year-old wing-back joins on a youth loan until the end of the season from MK Dons, having spent the first half of the season on loan at National League South side Hemel Hempstead Town.

Ilunga made his League One debut for MK on the final day of the 2020-21 season aged just 17 when he came on against Rochdale.

He made 18 appearances in the National League South this season, starting every single game he featured in, and has also made two appearances for MK this season, one in the EFL Cup and one in the EFL Trophy.

In the 2021-22 season, Ilunga played 11 times for Royston Town of the Southern Premier League Central, and also made his first professional start in the EFL Trophy, before being named MK Dons' Academy Player of the Year for that season.

He will wear the number 21 for the Stones, and is eligible for Saturday's game against Eastleigh.
