THIS WEEK AT WEALDSTONE FC

We take a look across the club this week, including first-team and academy schedules!

MONDAY

Kicking off the week with action from our Academy. The U23s return, facing Tresham Academy U23s in the National League.

The Stones currently sit 2nd in the League, just four points behind Procision Oxford U23s, and with just nine games remaining, every point becomes even more crucial!

WEDNESDAY

The busiest day of the week for the Stones!

The first game in 20 days for the first-team. The Stones travel to the VBS Stadium to face Sutton United in the National League, at 19:45.

Matt Taylor’s side will be looking to avenge the 1-0 loss at home earlier in the season, but will have to keep an eye on former striker Henry Sandat, who could be in line to make his debut, having joined the U’s on a permanent deal.

The Academy U19s return to action, with three games across the day!

In U19 National League action, the Stones take on Kings Langley U19s (H). Sitting 3rd in the table, Wealdstone will look to push for the top spots, with two games in hand.

Fixtures in the Tactic League, against Samuel Ryder, and the ECFA, against Hornchurch, round off the day’s action.

FRIDAY

Rounding off this week’s academy action, the U19s face Maidstone United (A) in the National League Cup.

SATURDAY

Another big game for the first team, facing Hartlepool United at Grosvenor Vale, at 3pm

With postponed fixtures, it’s been almost a month since the Stones last took to the pitch at home, so your incredible support will be sought after by the players. Tickets are available here: https://wealdstonefc.ticketco.events/uk/en/m/e/national_league_wealdstone_fc_v_hartlepool_united

Taylor’s side will be looking to come away with two extra points this time, having conceded a late late equaliser in the reverse fixture earlier in the season.

Whilst it’s a huge game on the pitch, it’s also a huge one off it as well! Saturday is our annual ‘Her Game Too’ match where we bring and attention to the inclusion of women and girls in football and encourage attendance at football matches.

Tickets for girls aged Under 19 are FREE of charge and available for home and away fans. Those 19 and over can purchase for just £5!
