#WattASigning
Wealdstone Football Club are delighted to announce the signing of Sanchez Watt.
The 28-year-old forward becomes Dean Brennan’s sixteenth signing of the summer after making six appearances during pre-season.
Watt won the FA Youth Cup in 2009 with the Arsenal Under-18s before making his first team debut for the Gunners during pre-season before the 2009/10 season.
The speedster scored his first goal for Arsenal in a League Cup fixture against West Bromwich Albion in 2009 and made three appearances in the competition that season.
While signed with Arsenal, Watt went on loan to many Football League clubs including two notable loan spells at Leeds United.
Watt first joined Leeds in 2010 and contributed to automatic promotion from League One to the Championship. Watt returned to Leeds on loan after promotion and made 26 appearances the following season.
He was released by Arsenal in 2013 and signed for Colchester United. Watt made 48 appearances across two seasons for the League One outfit before departing the U’s in 2015.
The winger had brief spells in the Indian Super League for Kerala Blasters and in League Two for Crawley Town before signing for Billericay Town in 2017.
Initially on a short-term contract with Essex-based Billericay, Watt made 11 appearances before ending the 2017/18 season on loan at Dean Brennan’s Hemel Hempstead.
Watt scored four goals in 11 league appearances during a successful loan spell and was signed permanently ahead of the 2018/19 season.
