Wealdstone v Woking - Match Preview

THE DETAILS

Wealdstone v Woking Vanarama National League Grosvenor Vale

Tuesday 23rd March, 7:45pm kick-off

HOW TO WATCH

Due to the current COVID-19 restrictions enforced by UK government, all elite football in England is required to be played behind closed doors. As a result we will be streaming this fixture live and you can purchase your streaming pass HERE.

THE CONTEXT

Wealdstone are aiming to leapfrog Woking into eighteenth position on Tuesday evening with the visitors sat just one place and two points above the hosts in the National League table. Woking boss Alan Dowson threatened to put the entire squad on furlough last week after a string of disappointing results in the league this season. They have however excelled in the FA Trophy and could have one eye on their weekend fixture against Hereford in the semi-final of the competition. The sides haven't met since Wealdstone's heartbreaking play-off defeat to Woking back in 2019.

TEAM NEWS Michee Efete and Dan Wishart both missed Saturday's trip to Weymouth with injuries although the Stones were buoyed by the return of Connor Smith after missing three games with an ankle problem. Nottingham Forest loanee Riley-Jay Harbottle had a positive debut in defence despite the poor result on the weekend and looks set to keep his place in the side. Daniel Bowry returns from his three-match ban, whilst George Langston remains out for a couple more weeks.
