We are delighted to announce the signing of defender Tobi Omole on a permanent deal!
The 25-year-old joins the club as a free agent, having most previously played for Crawley Town in League One. Tobi has been deployed mainly as a 'ball playing' central defender, but is able to play as a left-back or a defensive midfielder.
The central defender began his career with a two year scholarship in the youth ranks of Arsenal, having been scouted at south-east London side Thamesmead Town. Tobi spent time with the U18s and U23s before joining Tottenham Hotspur in 2020.
Tobi impressed playing in Premier League 2 with the U23s at Spurs, seeing him invited to train with the first-team on multiple occasions.
The defender's first experience of first-team football came after his move to League One side in 2022. Tobi started the first game of Crawley's season, a 1-0 defeat against Carlisle United. Tobi made four more appearances for the club, before leaving in summer 2024.
Tobi takes the no.26 shirt and is available for selection in today's match-day squad to face Woking at Grosvenor Vale.
